Welcome to

Footballerscareer.com

The footballers’ own union, the PFA calculates that the average age for a playing career to finish is as early as 21. For every Ryan Giggs there are numerous lads who are discarded by all clubs at 18 and drop out of the game altogether not much older. It is a worrying statistic. For those lucky enough to extend their careers into their late 20s and 30s there are numerous openings, which we will point out in this section. These include coaching, teaching, media punditry, which are well enough known. We will point out the many other opportunities that exist for ex players of all ages, backgrounds and levels of achievement.
